Red line inflammation, i.e. acute lymphangitis, acute lymphangitis is mostly caused by hemolytic streptococcus bacteria entering the lymphatic vessels through the lymphatic interstitial space, causing acute inflammation in and around the lymphatic vessels. Acute lymphangitis is mainly categorized into reticular lymphangitis and tubular lymphangitis, the former is known as dandruff (acute infectious disease, visible redness of the skin like paint), the latter is commonly found in the limbs, one or several red lines are seen in the limbs extending proximally, with pressure and pain around them, and the surrounding lymph nodes may be enlarged and painful. Its treatment is based on systemic treatment and local treatment. 1. Systemic treatment: antibiotic treatment, early sensitive antibiotics (such as ceftriaxone, penicillin, levofloxacin, etc.) can be given to control the infection. 2. Local treatment: local hot compresses, elevation of the affected limbs to promote venous and lymphatic reflux; the affected limbs can be given a pressure bandage to prevent lymphedema; when an abscess is formed, incision and drainage are required. Acute lymphadenitis is a common clinical infection, once it occurs, should promptly go to the hospital, under the guidance of professional doctors for diagnosis and treatment.
