White bumps on top of the gums are more commonly seen as alveolar bone growth. Alveolar bone growth is more common on the lingual side of the mandibular alveolar bone and on the labial side of the maxillary alveolar bone, and we can see white, round, hard bumps on top of the gums. In general, alveolar bone growth is asymptomatic and does not require special treatment, as long as it is observed. If the alveolar bone enlargement is more serious, it may affect the placement of the abutment when it is necessary to install teeth later, in this case, we can do the alveolar bone trimming. In other cases, we just need to observe and do not need to do special treatment. Therefore, if there are white bumps on the top of the alveolar bone, don’t worry, you can go to the dental hospital for a checkup and confirm that it is an alveolar bone growth, so you don’t need to do any treatment, just observe it.
