Symptoms of cervical cancer recurrence mainly include vaginal bleeding and abnormal leukorrhea. If the cancer cells metastasize to other parts after recurrence, the metastasized parts may show corresponding symptoms. 1. Vaginal bleeding: patients with recurrence of cervical cancer may have contact bleeding, usually after sexual intercourse. There may also be prolonged menstrual period and increased menstrual flow. 2. Abnormal leukorrhea: Most of the patients with recurrent cervical cancer will have leukorrhea in the form of rice slop with fishy smell. It is usually caused by necrosis of cancer cells with infection. 3. Symptoms of metastatic site: if cervical cancer recurs and metastasizes to other parts, such as metastasizing to the rectum, there will be symptoms such as unshapely stools and change of bowel habit. If the cancer cells invade the ureter, hydronephrosis or ureteral blockage will occur. Patients with cervical cancer need to pay attention to follow up and regular review after treatment. If there are signs of recurrence, timely treatment is recommended.
