The efficacy of Cao Wu is to warm the menstruation, relieve pain, and dispel wind and dampness (to get rid of wind and dampness in the body). It is very effective in treating various symptoms caused by wind-dampness. Cao Wu is a Chinese herb with a bitter flavor and hot nature. It belongs to four meridians, namely, the Heart Meridian of the Shao-Yin in the hand, the Liver Meridian of the Syncope Yin in the foot, the Kidney Meridian of the Shao-Yin in the foot and the Spleen Meridian of the Tai-Yin in the foot.
