”Time is brain” and “time is life”. Most of the cerebrovascular diseases are rapid in onset, fast in development and heavy in condition, and if the resuscitation is not timely or the measures are not appropriate, the condition will deteriorate quickly and endanger the life. However, appropriate and timely on-site first aid is essential to improve the cure rate, reduce the disability rate, lower the mortality rate and improve the quality of life. First aid measures for stroke: 1. Call the emergency center or send to a nearby hospital for examination (e.g. CT) and resuscitation in time. 2, keep the respiratory tract unobstructed: immediately untie the collar, cushion the neck and favor the side, promptly clean up the secretions and vomit in the oral and nasal cavities to prevent inflow into the trachea, causing asphyxia or aspiration pneumonia; 3, avoid unnecessary moving, make the patient absolutely bedridden to prevent aggravation of bleeding, maintain a suitable position to ensure cerebral blood back perfusion; 4, control blood pressure: if you have a spare blood pressure meter at home, immediately conduct blood pressure measurement. If the blood pressure is ≥ 23/15Kpa, apply the existing antihypertensive drugs for symptomatic treatment as appropriate, but do not lower it to too low. 5, psychological comfort: should remain calm and not panic, comfort the patient to avoid aggravation of the patient’s condition due to excessive tension or fear.
