What causes pppd?

PPPD (persistent postural perceptual dizziness) may be triggered by changes in hormone levels during menopause. PPPD is common in women aged 45-55 years, and is usually accompanied by vestibular migraine, which is at a high prevalence in this stage, and may be related to changes in hormone levels during menopause. In addition, visual stimuli, somato-motor and sleep disorders, as well as cardiac arrhythmias, anxiety and panic attacks, and mild brain injury may also trigger PPPD. PPPD has a strong relationship with the patient’s personality traits, especially neurotic and introverted people who are prone to PPPD when they suffer from acute vestibular disorders. In addition, the appearance of PPPD has a great impact on the quality of life of patients, and it is recommended that patients go to regular hospitals for examination and treatment as soon as possible.
