San Bao formula in Chinese medicine clinical application generally refers to Angong Niuhuang Pill, Zixue, Zhi Bao Dan, that is, often collectively referred to as San Bao. Zhi Bao Dan can dissolve phlegm and open the orifices (opening the orifices of the heart and restoring sanity by removing phlegmatic evils), clearing heat and detoxifying the toxins, and is used for fainting, phlegmatic congestion, and thick qi due to apoplexy and speechlessness in the middle of a stroke, extinction of evil qi in the middle of a stroke, poisoning by all kinds of things, poisoning by heat and epidemics, parasitic poison (poisons witchcrafted in a mysterious way), and poisoning by water, and so on.
