Which part of the child’s cough massage

Cough is a common symptom of pediatric illness, especially in winter and spring. Chinese medicine classifies coughs into two categories: coughs caused by external influences and coughs caused by internal injuries. The symptoms are mainly cough, accompanied by fever, nasal congestion, chest tightness and shortness of breath, dry cough with little phlegm or cough with much phlegm, and mental fatigue. In addition to the commonly used Chinese and Western medications, cough can also be treated with TCM pediatric massage therapy. Parents can perform the treatment at home for their children as follows: (1) Rub the Pan Men (the large intercostal area of the palm of the hand) 100 times. (2) Push the inner bagua (palm position as the center of the circle, pushing clockwise one time), 100-200 times. (3) Clear the liver meridian (on the last joint on the front of the index finger), push 100 times. (4) Push the Tianheshui (the meridian on the inside of the wrist toward the elbow, in a straight line), 100 times in the direction of the wrist to the elbow. (5) Clear the stomach meridian (the first joint on the front of the thumb) and push 100 times in the finger to palm direction. In addition to the above mentioned parts of the massage for children with cough, parents can often help their children to gently pat their backs. For some children with wind-heat cough with tonsillitis, the effect will be better if parents then cooperate with foot massage. After the massage, you should give your child more warm water in time, you can also drink light salt water with a little salt, and insist on massaging your child 2 times a day.
