How to treat baby’s fever and cough

Neonatal convulsions, mostly occur in children within the first week of life, so they must be handled correctly to have a good prognosis. First of all, we must remain calm, undress the affected child loosely and maintain the correct posture, i.e., put the child on his or her side on the bed to avoid re-inhalation of vomit, which can lead to coughing, gasping not working or even suffocation. To prevent tongue biting behavior, you can put a cotton pad, etc. Then, see if there is any medicine to relieve the convulsions, and it is time to pay attention to what is causing the convulsions. Is it due to perinatal asphyxia, birth injury intracranial hemorrhage, intraventricular hemorrhage around the ventricles of the brain in preterm infants, infection or some metabolic abnormality. If you can’t tell, remember not to use medication indiscriminately and take the baby to the hospital promptly for treatment. If the condition gradually subsides, it can be observed first and then further examined. Finally, the complications of neonatal convulsions are very serious and prone to complications such as asphyxia and cerebral hypoxia, so parents should pay close attention to the prevention of their children. This can be prevented by strengthening the physical fitness of the child, increasing physical training and enhancing immunity. Therefore, parents must pay special attention to neonatal convulsions, and must actively cooperate with treatment at the onset of the disease to prevent complications and sequelae and do prevention work as early as possible.
