If your child has a severe cough, hold him or her in a bathroom filled with water vapor for 5 minutes. The moist air will help clear the mucus from the lungs and calm the cough.
Also, give your child enough water. Water is the lubricant in the body. Only when you drink enough water can you keep your lungs and airways properly moistened and avoid coughing. In addition, do not take cough medicine indiscriminately, always take it under the guidance of a doctor.
