Do you know about rhinoplasty?

  Unlike Westerners, Easterners have shorter noses, and rhinoplasty has been the more common nasal surgery done by people. Nowadays, rhinoplasty methods are becoming more and more diversified, and there are many choices for implants. So, the question arises, how to choose the right rhinoplasty method and materials for yourself? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each method?
  At present, the main rhinoplasty materials on the market are: silicone materials, expansion materials, autologous cartilage, etc.
  I. Silicone material
  Medical silicone is resistant to high and low temperatures, chemically stable, with good corrosion resistance and tissue compatibility, non-toxic, non-cancerous, non-teratogenic, will not grow together with human tissue, is currently the longest, most and most widely used clinical rhinoplasty materials, and if post-operative complications and unsatisfactory appearance are easy to deal with, but also to restore the nose shape, will not cause skin relaxation on the back of the nose.

  Silicone material is more conducive to shaping, cheaper, with low infection and rejection rates and long maintenance time, and is a more cost-effective rhinoplasty material. However, it also has shortcomings. In case of excessive tension of rhinoplasty, redness of the nasal tip will occur, and it is not suitable for those with low nasal tip and short nasal bridge. And the nasal bone is formed in one piece and cannot be compressed to turn up the nose naturally.
  Silicone implants may cause some allergic reactions for some allergic people. The hardness of silicone prosthesis is hard, not realistic to the touch, unnatural, post-operative life needs to pay attention to the protection of the nose, not to forcefully hit, will produce impact displacement.
  Second, tumescent material
  Inflatable material is softer than silicone material, thus more natural after rhinoplasty, no inflammatory reaction of nasal tip redness after surgery.
  The bulging material has better tissue compatibility, the tissue can grow into the material, and the long-term fixation is good. And it is also easy to perform surgery for candidates who undergo second rhinoplasty or have a very thin nasal tip, and the postoperative results are good. There are so many advantages of the expansion material, but also the disadvantages are obvious. The price of the material is relatively higher, and it is much more difficult to remove than silicone. Because of its softer texture, it is more difficult to sculpt than silicone and requires a doctor with extensive clinical experience.
  One of the most serious problems is the higher rate of infection, easier than silicone infection, especially in the distant future, the infection rate is much higher than silicone.
  Third, autologous cartilage
  Autologous cartilage tissue is the most commonly used tissue in rhinoplasty. Its main characteristics are: it does not have blood vessels, can be viable by tissue fluid to provide nutrition, no stimulating effect on the tissue after implantation, can maintain its original volume and cell shape for a long time, easy to sculpt into the required size and shape, so after surgery, the appearance of natural shape, realistic. Autologous cartilage material can be chosen from autologous nasal cartilage, ear cartilage, rib cartilage, etc.
  Advantages.
  1. Good and stable tissue compatibility. It can be easily fixed with the nasal tissue and will not be displaced;
  2.It will not be rejection by its own tissue;
  3, less absorption, low absorption rate of autologous cartilage;
  4, realistic appearance and real touch.
  Disadvantages.
  1.Surgery is difficult and takes a long time;
  2, there are side injuries, to remove cartilage from their own bodies, there are wounds.
  Four, injection rhinoplasty
  The main material of injectable rhinoplasty is hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that exists naturally in human tissues, and it can be injected to fill and shape the nose to achieve the effect of rhinoplasty, and the shaping effect is natural. Rhinoplasty injections are quick and convenient. The effect of rhinoplasty can be seen immediately after injection, and it only takes about 20 to 30 minutes, which is very convenient. Rhinoplasty injections also avoid the risk of surgery, and the safety is greatly enhanced.
  Rhinoplasty injections are painless and do not require a recovery period. Rhinoplasty injections do not require an incision, the injection is like a shot, there is not much pain and people can generally accept it. Moreover, you can continue your normal work and life after rhinoplasty injections, just follow the doctor’s instructions for care, and it will not cause inconvenience to your daily activities.
  Advantages.
  1.Natural effect, immediate effect, no recovery period;
  2. No rejection of the human body.
  Disadvantages.
  1, the duration of action is short, can be absorbed by the body, can be maintained for 6-12 months, need intermittent regular injection;
  2, the degree of rhinoplasty is limited, not suitable for nasal bridge too low seekers.
  Never pay attention to the following points.
  1, the tip of the nose up to three operations (you do not want Michael Jackson’s nose!) ;
  2. Multiple operations on the back of the nose are not a problem (the back of the nose is a hard bone and can be operated on multiple times);
  3, hyaluronic acid can not do nose tip shaping (hyaluronic acid clogged blood vessels may lead to nasal ulceration).
  The candidates who want to do rhinoplasty must do more homework before surgery, understand the necessary knowledge of rhinoplasty, and fully communicate with the doctor, and strive to create a perfect nose tailored to meet your aesthetic standards.
