Nose in the center of the face, its height, shape times people’s attention, in the female, a correct and slender, slightly curved nose, give a person dignified, intelligent feeling, make it more chu chu moving; in the male, a straight, angular nose, give a person shrewd, resolute feeling, more appear to be imposing. Some people say “face like a flower, all rely on the nose when the family! It is also said that “the nose is the king of the face!” Therefore, rhinoplasty is the second most common facial cosmetic surgery, and rhinoplasty is one of the most important rhinoplasty procedures. Rhinoplasty is mainly used for men and women with low, flat noses, and has also been used to correct deformities secondary to cleft lip and saddle nose deformities left after trauma. Although in recent years there are artificial bone powder injection, expanded polytetrafluoroethylene, and solid silicone prosthesis implantation methods, but we believe that solid silicone rhinoplasty is still the first choice, rejection reaction is extremely rare, but also easy to carve the shape. There are several types of silicone implants depending on the degree of vulcanization, which can be chosen according to different conditions of individuals. Most of the rhinoplasty incisions are made inside the nostrils, and no traces can be seen after the operation. In most of the current rhinoplasty, an incision of about 1 cm is made on the inner side of the nostril margin at the junction of the nasal columella and the nasal wings, through which a spacious cavity is separated under the dorsal fascia or/and under the periosteum of the nasal bone, and the pre-sculpted implant is placed in the appropriate position, and then the incision is closed with sutures. The sutures are usually removed 5 – 7 days after surgery. In addition to one’s own qualifications, the surgeon’s experience, patience, aesthetic orientation and adequate communication with the patient are the keys to a successful surgery. If the patient has a swept back forehead, low brow arch, low center of the face and a retracted chin, rhinoplasty alone is often not enough to make the face beautiful. Depending on the situation, augmentation of the forehead and eyebrows, augmentation of the chin, or other plastic surgery procedures performed at the same time or in sequence may result in a more proportionate and harmonious facial shape. A more serious complication of rhinoplasty is ulceration of the nasal skin. This is the result of continued excessive pressure on the skin from the implant, and is a consequence of the patient’s overemphasis on raising the tip of the nose and the surgeon’s biased assessment of skin compliance. If localized redness or whitening of the skin of the nose, especially the tip, is noted after surgery, early follow-up is necessary. If necessary, revision surgery can be performed or the implant can be removed to avoid skin scarring. Other complications include infection, rejection of the implant, poor wound healing and deformity of the nostril margins. There will be swelling and bruising in the nose after surgery; bruising may also be evident around the eyes if a subperiosteal separation is done. These inflammatory reactions will basically subside in about 2 weeks; if there is still obvious swelling and pain after the surgery, please go to the hospital for follow-up.
