Due to the more complications of rhinoplasty with prosthesis, the improvement and popularization of autologous cartilage rhinoplasty technology has made more and more beautiful patients more willing to accept the rhinoplasty surgery with autologous cartilage, and more rib cartilage, nasal septum and auricular cartilage are used at present, and the techniques used are of two major types, one is the whole piece of cartilage carved and implanted, and in order to overcome the secondary bending risk it is necessary to cut the cartilage block into a spring-like shape repeatedly in order to weaken the surface tension In order to overcome the risk of secondary bending, the cartilage block needs to be repeatedly cut into a spring-like shape to weaken the surface tension, and to obtain a long-lasting straight effect, the disadvantage of which is that the cartilage needs to be cut long enough and thick enough, and part of the rib cartilage generally needs to be taken out, which destroys the structural integrity of the thoracic cartilage, and the breathing pain is painful after the operation. The integrity of the rib cartilage is maintained, and the cartilage in the donor area recovers quickly after the operation. However, excessive cutting makes the cartilage damage larger, and the support after transplantation decreases, and the disadvantage that the bridge of the nose and the tip of the nose are not connected smoothly often occurs. After cadaver dissection and clinical literature database searching, we synthesized the advantages of the above two methods and overcame the shortcomings of the two methods to create a new method for rhinoplasty by bundle strip cartilage transplantation from 2011 onwards. Since this technique does not require cutting the whole rib cartilage, not only the contour structure of the rib cartilage in the donor area can be completely preserved, but also the incision at the inframammary fold can be made in 2 cm, which reduces trauma, and the incision can be made at the inframammary fold. So far, after clinical follow-up and nuclear magnetic and histological examination, it is found that the bundle strip cartilage is well established, and there is no bending phenomenon of the bridge of the nose. Generally speaking, the transplanted cartilage is established and fixed in 3-4 weeks after the operation, and the shape is natural and smooth with the surrounding structures. In addition to conventional rhinoplasty, this technique is especially suitable for patients who are intolerant to or have complications with prosthetic rhinoplasty, and the removal of prosthesis and cartilage rhinoplasty can be carried out at the same time.
