Beans, eggs and meat, which are commonly found in daily life, are all high protein foods. Food sources of protein can be divided into two categories: plant-based and animal-based. Beans are rich in protein, especially soybeans with a protein content of up to 35% a 40%, which is a high-quality source of plant protein. Eggs contain 11% to 14% protein. Meat, including the muscles of poultry, livestock and fish, contains 15% to 22% protein. These are all high protein foods that can be used to supplement the body’s protein requirements. Food protein content is the basis for evaluating the nutritional value of food protein. For similar foods, the higher the protein content, the relatively higher its nutritional value. However, in general, the nutritional value of animal proteins is better than that of plant proteins. It is recommended that when supplementing protein through food, two or more types of protein food can be mixed, so that the complementary effect of amino acids in food can be fully utilized and the nutritional value can be enhanced.
