Treatment options for advanced tumors

Advanced tumors determine different treatment plans according to the location of the original tumor, pathological type, gene mutation status, MSI expression, and the physical status of the patient. If some patients are in good physical condition and can tolerate systemic anti-tumor therapy, they can be treated by chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy. If patients are in poor physical condition and cannot tolerate systemic anti-tumor therapy, the best supportive therapy is the main treatment. Like some patients with liver metastasis of intestinal cancer, although they are already in advanced stage, they can also achieve a tumor-free state through the available treatments and strive to achieve a longer survival period. Like advanced stage of liver cancer, targeted therapy and best supportive care may be needed to improve the patient’s quality of life.
