How sinusitis is caused

Sinusitis is a purulent inflammation of the mucous membrane of the sinuses and is a common inflammatory disease in otolaryngology. The incidence of sinusitis is highest in the anterior group, and chronic sinusitis is common. There are four pairs of sinuses, namely maxillary sinus, septal sinus, frontal sinus and pterygoid sinus. The anatomical structure is divided into the anterior sinus group, which consists of the maxillary sinus, frontal sinus, and anterior septal sinus; and the posterior sinus group, which is the posterior septal sinus and butterfly sinus. Sinusitis can occur on one or both sides, can be limited to one sinus, or can occur in multiple sinuses or in the entire group of sinuses. The occurrence of sinusitis is related to the anatomical features of the sinuses, such as small sinus openings, narrow passages in the sinus-nasal tract complex, continuous sinus mucosa and nasal mucosa, and the proximity of each sinus opening. When the upper respiratory tract infection, nasal mucosa inflammation, can diffuse to the sinus mucosa; due to the inflammation and swelling of the nasal mucosa and sinus mucosa, resulting in the original very small sinus mouth and sinus mouth nasal channel complex more narrow, causing the sinus mouth blockage, poor sinus drainage, sinus secretion accumulation and secondary bacterial infection, resulting in the occurrence of acute purulent sinusitis. When acute purulent sinusitis is not treated in time, or the treatment is not standardized and complete, it can be extended to chronic purulent sinusitis. Allergies and chronic sinusitis also have a close relationship. The actual body is usually exercised to improve the immunity of the body and avoid colds. In case of acute sinusitis, you need to visit the otorhinolaryngology department in time, and treat with sensitive antibiotics and so on in time and in sufficient quantity under the guidance of the doctor.
