How to do rehabilitation exercises after breast cancer surgery

  The rehabilitation exercise after breast cancer surgery mainly includes two aspects: one is the functional exercise of upper limbs; the other is the elimination of upper limb edema.  (1) Simple and easy functional exercises for upper limbs ① Local massage: use the palm of the opposite hand to lightly press the upper and lower left and right of the surgical scar to push the skin for massage to promote local blood circulation and loosen the tense skin.  ②Shoulder exercise: the upper limbs naturally droop, taking the shoulder as the center, the upper limbs do backward and forward movement, the degree of activity and the amount of movement gradually increases, to the extent that local pain does not arise.  ③Extension exercise: both hands clench fists, both upper limbs outward to do flat outward movement, repeat several times, then both hands fingers cross, placed behind the head, both elbows try to vibrate backward, so that the chest wall skin is stretched, a relaxation.  ④ touch high exercise: face the wall and stand, try your best to touch and a certain height of the wall with your hands, do the next mark. In this way, the skin of the upper extremity can be made loose due to stretching.  (2) Prevent the occurrence of upper limb edema and promote its reduction ① Anti-infection (anti-inflammatory treatment): reduce or avoid axillary fluid accumulation and wound infection; ② Strengthen functional exercise of the upper limb: promote lymph and blood return; ③ Avoid prolonged drooping of the affected limb: usually pay attention to elevating the affected limb and use pillows to cushion the arm when sleeping; ④ For patients with severe swelling, bandages can be used to wrap and compress the affected limb.
