What does pv virus mean?

pv virus, refers to poliovirus, commonly known as polio.
1. Basic concept: poliomyelitis is an acute infectious disease of children induced by infection with poliovirus; pv virus is a neurophilic virus that mainly invades the motor nerve cells of the central nervous system, causing damage to the motor neurons in the anterior horn of the spinal cord.
