How to recover after plaster removal

The removal of the cast indicates that the fracture is close to clinical healing, and the rehabilitation exercise after the cast removal is mainly placed on two aspects, emphasizing muscle strength exercise on one hand and joint mobility exercise on the other. Because the long-term braking of the cast leads to different degrees of muscle atrophy at the fracture site, muscle strength exercises should be strengthened after the cast is removed, for the upper limb, try to bear small weight objects, and for the lower limb, try to walk with partial weight to gradually restore muscle strength. Another important aspect is the exercise of joint mobility. Most of the casts are braked across the joints, and the joints are accompanied by different degrees of stiffness in the process of fracture treatment, so the functional exercises of joint extension and flexion should be actively carried out after the removal of casts to avoid joint stiffness.
