The reference range of normal HCG value is 0-10mIU/mL, if the value of HCG in blood exceeds 10mIU/mL, it is considered to be pregnant. HCG value starts to enter the mother’s blood on the 6th day after fertilization and increases gradually and exponentially until about 8 weeks of pregnancy. To determine if you are pregnant as soon as possible after intercourse, you can go to the hospital on the 10th day after intercourse to have your blood tested for HCG. If the value exceeds 10mIU/mL, it means you are pregnant. After pregnancy is confirmed, it is recommended to go to the hospital after 7-10 days of menstrual cycle to check the ultrasound to see if there is a gestational sac in the uterus and to rule out the possibility of ectopic pregnancy, and to go to the hospital around 12 weeks of pregnancy to check the fetal heartbeat to see if the fetus is developing normally.
