Cardiac enzymes mainly refer to creatine kinase, and creatine kinase 500U/L over the normal value is not normal. The normal value of creatine kinase is 50~310U/L in men and 40~200U/L in women, and 500U/L over the normal value of cardiac enzyme is not normal. Creatine kinase levels are affected by gender, age, race, and physiologic status. Elevated creatine kinase is seen in patients with acute myocardial infarction, myocarditis, and muscle disease. In addition, reperfusion after thrombolytic therapy for infarction and cardiac surgery can lead to increased creatine kinase. The presence of elevated cardiac enzymes should be treated promptly under the supervision of a physician.
