What are the symptoms of night terrors?

The main clinical symptoms of night terrors are sudden shrieks and cries during sleep at night, accompanied by frightened expressions and movements, staring straight into the eyes, fidgeting with the hands and feet, extreme mental fear, more sweating, shortness of breath and a possible increase in heart rate, each episode lasting about 10 to 20 minutes and difficult to wake up. There is usually no memory of the night terrors at the time of awakening and there are no abnormalities during the day.
