What Higher Risk Genetic Test Results Mean

Usually, a higher risk genetic test result indicates that the subject has a higher probability of suffering from certain diseases, such as high blood pressure and diabetes, compared with the general population. However, a higher genetic test result does not necessarily mean that the subject will definitely suffer from certain diseases in the future. This is mainly because the occurrence of diseases is not only related to genes, but also to living environment, habits, diet and other aspects. Therefore, if you are found to be at a higher risk during the genetic test, you should pay more attention to your life, such as developing good dietary habits, having regular meals, combining meat and vegetables, and not overdoing spicy stimuli, etc. It is also recommended to take a period of time, e.g. about one year, between tests. At the same time, it is recommended to go to regular hospitals for medical checkups at intervals of, say, about one year, so as to clarify their health status.
