Swelling of eyes and face after sleeping may be physiological phenomenon, but also may be caused by kidney disease, idiopathic edema and other reasons.
1. Physiological phenomenon: if patients drink a lot of water before going to bed at night or stay up late, water retention in the body, patients may appear after sleeping eyes and face swelling.
2. Kidney disease: chronic nephritis, renal failure and other kidney disease patients, because of abnormal kidney function, fluid retention, patients may appear eyes and face swelling, may also be accompanied by lower limb edema and other symptoms.
3. Idiopathic edema: the etiology and pathogenesis of idiopathic edema have not been clarified, may be related to changes in capillary permeability, endocrine and other reasons, resulting in fluid retention, patients may appear after sleeping with swelling of the eyes and face.
