Pseudomyopia patients can reduce myopia or restore vision by ensuring eye rest and massage. There is no effective treatment for patients with true myopia, which can be corrected to improve vision. Pseudomyopia is caused by ciliary muscle spasm due to eye fatigue. Therefore, correcting bad eye habits and using eyes in a scientific way to ensure eye rest can relax the ciliary muscle, and after the ciliary muscle spasm has been relieved, vision can be restored. Periocular massage is also beneficial to relieve ciliary muscle spasm and promote the recovery of pseudomyopia. True myopia is caused by the growth of the eye axis, and there is no effective way to shorten the length of the eye axis, so true myopia can not be reduced, and it is difficult to restore vision. The common method to identify pseudomyopia and true myopia is dilated optometry. It is recommended that patients go to the hospital for dilated optometry in time to clarify the type of myopia and follow the doctor’s instructions for correction.
