Caries filling requires observation of the patient’s caries. If the caries is not serious, such as shallow caries holes in clinical examination, the examination including treatment in such cases will not cause pain. However, if the caries is more serious, such as some children already feel pain when they eat at home, or feel pain when they do not eat, or even pain at night, some of the examination instruments touch the teeth during the examination, which may cause discomfort, such as a slight pain. In some cases, the teeth are already swollen and painful at the time of consultation, including the inability to chew when eating. In such cases, there will be slight discomfort during the examination, but the treatment is usually carried out painlessly, and local anesthetic injections can be given to ensure that the treatment is carried out in a painless manner. Filling is usually done by removing all the decayed material and the filling material does not cause filling pain to the child.
