Talking about ovaries – do you really understand ovarian function and maintenance?

As an obstetrician and gynecologist, I have a lot of feelings about marriage and childbirth, so I would like to say something. In accordance with the laws of nature, what to do at what age is the most time-efficient and energy-saving. In the matter of childbirth is particularly obvious. China’s law provides that “men shall not be earlier than twenty-two years old, women shall not be earlier than twenty years old marriage. That is, men over 22 years of age, women over 20 years of age legal permission to marry. Of course, I am not advocating early marriage and early childbirth, because this age many people have not yet graduated from college, medical science also believes that the best childbirth age for women 23 to 28 years old, the best male childbirth age of 30 to 35 years. However, in reality, especially young people living and working in first- and second-tier cities, over 30 years old are not willing to fall in love and get married and have children. Some people say it’s a busy career, not mixed with the name dare not have children, some say it’s a good dash to play a few years, the future is long, there is plenty of time. Even if the accidental pregnancy also want to nip the embryo in the bud (abortion, medical abortion, etc.). Little do we know that ovarian function is extremely fast declining in women over the age of 30, especially over the age of 35. The ovaries are the female internal genital organs that produce eggs and secrete hormones. It is the material basis for female fertility and good looks. The ovaries are located at the back of the uterus, one on each side, and the size and shape of the ovaries varies with age. In adults, the average length of the ovaries is 2.88-2.93 cm, the average width is 1.38-1.48 cm, the average thickness is 0.82-0.83 cm, and the weight of the ovaries is 3-4 g. Between the ages of 35-45, the ovaries begin to shrink, and the size of an adult ovary is usually equivalent to the size of her thumb or so. When each girl is still in the embryonic stage, i.e., in her mother’s womb, she already has millions of follicles in her two ovaries, and when she is born there are 750,000 left. As she ages, the strong “baby eggs” are retained, while those of poor quality continue to atrophy and die. By the time she reaches sexual maturity (marked by menstruation), only about 100,000 antral follicles remain. From the girl’s first menstruation, the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis carefully mediates the growth and development of a group of sinus follicles every month, often only one (or in a few cases two) is dominant as a large and round follicle, the dominant follicle (follicle directly greater than 10mm), and finally the mature follicle (follicle directly (up to 18-20mm), which can become the “star of the month” and leave the ovary, i.e. ovulation. The other follicles that have not been dominated by the same group of grown follicles can only be silently occluded and retired from the history stage forever. During a woman’s lifetime, she is sexually mature for about 30-40 years (average age 13-49 years) and can develop and expel about 400 eggs during her lifetime. The age of 35 is a watershed moment in a woman’s physiology, when the functions of all organs in the body change from strength to weakness, and her complexion becomes dull and yellow (commonly known as a yellow face), especially when she stays up late and is overly stressed, and her ovarian fertility begins to decline rapidly. Even if you can ovulate and conceive naturally, the incidence of miscarriage and malformation is often very high. Even the success rate of IVF is extremely low! It is clear that age is the most important factor in a woman’s fertility, and there is no such thing as a long time to come when it comes to fertility. Of course, some people may say, I am busy with my career, I have plenty of money, with modern high-tech means, when I was young to take eggs “frozen”, when I am older, I can hire a surrogate to have their own children, this itself is not wrong. However, there is no way to change the fate of ovarian failure. The actual fact is that you can find a lot of people who have been in the business for a long time, and they’ve been in the business for a long time. So how can we do scientific and effective maintenance of the ovaries? 1, choose the best childbirth age birth, appropriate more childbirth (two-child policy liberalization), and after childbirth adhere to breast milk can slow down ovarian aging. The reason is that during pregnancy and breastfeeding, the ovaries are in a resting state and do not ovulate, so the ovaries can recuperate and slow down the aging process. 2, a balanced diet, a reasonable mix of sugar, fat, protein, vitamins, fiber and other nutrients. Do not be picky and partial to food. Eat less or no sweets, and eat more beans, especially black beans, as appropriate. Quit smoking and limit alcohol. 3, adequate sleep, it is best to ensure 6 to 8 hours of sleep, do not stay up late. But from the endocrine point of view, sleep after 11 o’clock belongs to stay up late. It is best to go to bed before 11 o’clock in summer and before 10 o’clock in winter. The disadvantages of staying up late are too numerous to mention. In short, it not only affects your endocrine and menstrual cycle, but also the quality of your eggs.
