Loratadine Side Effects

Loratadine is the more commonly used anti-allergic drug in clinical practice, some of the more common side effects, mainly include malaise, headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, gastrointestinal disturbances including nausea, vomiting, and rash, and rare adverse reactions such as alopecia, anaphylactic reactions, hepatic insufficiency, tachycardia, and palpitations. Others manifest as autonomic nervous system manifestations, such as tearing, salivation, flushing, dulled sensation, impotence, and excessive sweating. The general condition is capable of weakness, blurred vision, chest pain, ear pain, eye pain, depression, chills, and tinnitus. Cardiovascular can manifest as hypertension, hypotension, and supraventricular tachycardia. The central and peripheral nervous system manifests as blepharospasm, vertigo, and sensory abnormalities. The skeletal system can present with arthritis, myalgia. The respiratory system can present with bronchitis, bronchospasm, cough, and dyspnea. The urinary system can manifest as frequent urination, change in the appearance and color of urine, urinary incontinence, and urinary retention.
