Shenque is in the middle of the navel, in the center of the umbilicus. Shen Que belongs to the Ren Vessel. It has the efficacy of cultivating the vital energy, returning yang to save prolapse, harmonizing the stomach and regulating the intestines. It is mainly used for treating dysentery, abdominal pain around the umbilicus, prolapse of the anus, women’s blood coldness not receiving the fetus, and stroke dislocation. Note that this point is forbidden to be pricked and moxibustion is preferred. For the treatment of abdominal pain with intestinal tinnitus, it can be paired with Foot Sanli; for the treatment of prolapse of the anus, it can be paired with Chang Qiang and Qi Hai; for the treatment of diarrhea and dysentery, it can be paired with Qi Hai and Yinlingquan; if Shen Que cupping is paired with stabbing of Tianshu, Foot Sanli and other acupoints, it can benefit the qi and strengthen the spleen (regulate the qi of the spleen and stomach) and the stomach, and is used in the treatment of diarrhea and vomiting.
