Pituitary tumors in the elderly are insidious in origin, mostly large and aggressive tumors, often combined with other systemic diseases and multi-organ hypofunction, requiring high preoperative preparation, risky surgery and many postoperative complications; pituitary tumors in the elderly should be given special attention and comprehensive treatment to obtain satisfactory results.
