Synovitis in the hand, which may be caused by infection, injury, immunity, etc., is treated in similar ways, including physical therapy, medication and surgery.
1. Physiotherapy: When synovitis occurs in the finger joints, it will lead to swelling and pain in the finger joints, localized muscle atrophy, and limitation of finger flexion and extension. Acupuncture, heat therapy, physiotherapy and other methods can be used to improve blood circulation in the fingers and eliminate local inflammatory reactions.
2. Medication: When in pain, anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs can be taken for treatment, such as diclofenac sodium extended-release tablets, celecoxib capsules, indomethacin tablets and so on. In the case of severe pain or recurrent symptoms, closed treatment, such as injection of compound betamethasone injection, prednisolone acetate injection, etc., can play the role of anti-inflammatory and pain relief, and help eliminate local synovitis.
3. Surgical treatment: when repeated conservative treatment is ineffective, surgical treatment can be considered, such as synovectomy. After surgery, patients need to strengthen the finger exercise, appropriate flexion and extension, to maintain the mobility of finger joints.
Patients with osteochondritis dissecans on the hand should follow the doctor’s instructions to actively cooperate with the doctor’s treatment, do not self-medication, so as not to delay the condition.
