Spring health care must be adapted to the laws of climate and physiological changes to prevent entering the wrong area. Based on years of clinical experience, I have summarized the “six principles” of spring health care for people.  Do not wet: open the windows every day at noon to ventilate the living room, bedding and clothing to keep dry and breathable, and wear more cotton loose clothing in spring to avoid eczema. In addition, do not choose a humid place to exercise, exercise after sweating to dry in time.  Not acid: spring diet should be “save acid to increase the sweet”, because the spring was hyperactive liver Yang, if you eat acidic food, easy to lead to excessive liver gas, and liver is easy to damage the spleen and stomach, so, spring diet acid. Acidic foods include mutton, dog meat, quail, fried peanuts, fried melon seeds, sea fish, shrimp, crab, etc. It is advisable to eat sweet and warm products to nourish the spleen, you can eat more yams, spring bamboo shoots, spinach, dates, leeks and so on. You can also use yam and barley 30 grams each, millet 75 grams, lotus seeds 25 grams, 10 dates cooked into a porridge, add a little sugar as the main food for long-term consumption.  Not freezing: the spring climate is hot and cold, to follow the “spring cover”, should not immediately take off the cotton clothes, dressing should follow the principle of “thick on thin”, first the top of the clothes to lose some, pants can be later reduced, the lower body rather hot do not cold, to help nurture Yang Qi. Especially the elderly with chronic bronchitis, emphysema, young women with a history of dysmenorrhea, in early spring to try to make the body “not freezing not cold”.  The key to nourishing Yang is to “move” and not to “be still”, people should actively exercise outdoors, but the elderly should not practice too early in the spring, they should go out to exercise after the sun rises. The exercise should be preceded by hot water, milk, egg soup and other hot drinks, while the exercise should be soothing.  Not angry: spring is the time of hyperactive liver and Yang, emotional impatience, to be open-minded, physical and mental harmony.
