What is acne vulgaris? How can I treat it?

Acne is a condition that occurs after puberty. As long as the acne is not large and does not affect normal life, it is normal. Acne folliculitis is caused by hormonal disorders in the body. The symptoms start as pink papules, and then mature into pus, crusts, and yellow pus after ulceration. Acne vulgaris has a variety of forms, such as papules, cysts, and nodules, and if it occurs on the scalp it can cause permanent hair loss. If it occurs on the neck, the skin can form scars. If it plays deep into the skin, it can cause perifolliculitis and form boils. In severe cases, it may cause symptoms such as swollen lymph nodes, fever, headache, and even sepsis or septicemia. If a boil located in the nose or lip area is squeezed, the germs may enter the skull via the bloodstream and cause septic thrombophlebitis or brain abscess, leading to death. The main prevention and treatment of acne vulgaris is to pay attention to skin cleanliness, strengthen the body’s resistance, prevent trauma, and actively treat pruritic skin diseases and systemic chronic diseases. Patients with folliculitis on the front chest, back and buttocks are mostly related to damp heat, sweating and personal constitution. In patients with folliculitis of the thighs, it is mostly caused by friction between pants and leg follicles, and in patients with folliculitis of the upper arms, it is mostly due to keratinization of the pores. Patients with folliculitis need to be careful to keep their skin cool at all times, develop good eating habits, and ensure adequate sleep to relieve stress. Caution: Acne folliculitis mostly occurs superficially, mostly itchy, and a few are painful. In the case of deep folliculitis, the inflammation is usually more severe, and the symptoms are mostly painful. After maturation, it will ulcerate on its own and bleed pus.
