How to treat recurring skin folliculitis with care

The so-called folliculitis is an inflammatory reaction of the skin follicles, caused by bacterial infection, mostly manifested as red filled papules or papular pustules consistent with the mouth of the follicle. Triggers include uncleanliness, scratching, etc. Generally, it is cured by anti-inflammatory treatment and hygienic disinfection and other treatments. However, there are some people who have recurrent cutaneous folliculitis. The reason for this is to consider whether there is a persistent low body resistance. For example, some people suffer from immunodeficiency disease, the body at birth lack of some antibodies or synthetic enzymes; some people suffer from autoimmune diseases or tumors; some people take glucocorticoids or immunosuppressants for a long time, and so on. All these factors can cause repeated skin infections and true folliculitis. Secondly, it is important to note the presence of pseudofolliculitis. Recently, a 25-year-old young man was seen with recurrent folliculitis-like damage in the extremities over the past two years, which was not taken seriously when it got better and worse. It was not until he developed oral ulcers and a rapid loss of vision in his right eye in the last six months that he was seen in the hospital. He was treated by several hospitals and finally diagnosed with leukoaraiosis. Unfortunately, at this time, his right eye vision was nearly blind. As you know, it is quite difficult to regain vision in this condition. This case is really heartbreaking! Therefore, if you have recurrent folliculitis-like skin damage, please see a dermatologist as soon as possible.
