Dietary precautions after painless gastroenteroscopy

Dietary attention to temporary fasting after painless colonoscopy.
1. Temporary fasting: if you simply do painless colonoscopy without other treatment, generally fast for 2~3 hours after the examination, and then eat after you are fully awake. If histopathological biopsy or endoscopic treatment is done, according to the specific situation, it may need to temporarily fast for 6~8 hours, or even fasting water for a longer period of time.
2. Light and easy-to-digest food: after painless colonoscopy, eat some semi-liquid food first, such as millet porridge, rice porridge, rotten noodle food, no discomfort, and gradually transition to a normal diet; if polypectomy is done, the first 3~4 days should be fed with dregs-free liquid food, and then gradually transitioned to a semi-liquid diet.
After the painless colonoscopy diet as prescribed by the doctor, if discomfort occurs, it is recommended to consult a doctor in a timely manner.
