Venous disease generally refers to varicose veins or venous thrombosis, and common causes of thrombosis include slow blood flow and vascular injury. The treatment plan for venous thrombosis depends on the specific location of the thrombosis, the clinical symptoms and the primary disease causing the thrombosis. If it is deep vein thrombosis in the lower extremity, bed rest is needed to avoid overexertion and strenuous activities. Elevating the affected limb can promote venous reflux in the lower extremity to prevent thrombus dislodgement, and anticoagulation therapy should be given as soon as possible. If thrombus dislodgement leads to pulmonary embolism or patients at risk of pulmonary embolism, vena cava filter implantation should be performed, and surgical treatment is mainly microcatheter thrombolysis or aspiration, and varicose veins are usually surgically stripped of the diseased vessels.
