Half-summer, thick-park soup is a representative formula for the treatment of plum-pit qi (similar to pharyngeal allodynia), which is characterized by phlegm-qi interconnection (phlegmatic evils in the body accompanied by qi dysfunction).
Half-summer and Thick-summer Tang is from “The Essentials of the Golden Chamber”, which is composed of thick-summer and thick-summer leaves, half-summer, poria, ginger, and has the effect of resolving phlegm and subduing rebelliousness, and promoting the circulation of qi to dissipate knots, and can treat plum nucleus qi, which is a disease of the throat that seems to be blocked by something, and which is difficult to swallow, unable to gag and vomit, or is caused by vomiting or coughing.
In this formula, Semixia subdues rebelliousness and harmonizes the stomach, resolves phlegm and disperses lumps; Houpu descends the qi and removes fullness (enabling the qi to descend to alleviate the discomfort of fullness); Poria seeps out the dampness and strengthens the spleen; Ginger stops vomiting and harmonizes the stomach; and Suye regulates the lung and disperses the liver. With the combination of these herbs, the depressed qi can be released and the phlegm and saliva can be dissolved, so the plum core qi with phlegm and qi stagnation will be eliminated by itself.
Half-summer and thick-park soup, which is full of pungent, warm, bitter and dry products, is only suitable for those with phlegm-qi stagnation and no heat. If zygomatic redness (redness of cheeks and zygomatic bones), bitterness of the mouth, red tongue with little moss belongs to those whose qi stagnation has turned into fire and whose yin has been injured and whose fluid is scarce, it is not advisable to use this formula even if they have the characteristics of prune pit qi. If you have plum-pit qi, please go to the hospital and do not use medicines on your own.
