Are the effects of wheat winter and barley winter the same?

There is no such thing as wheat winter and barley winter, there is only maitong and mountain maitong in traditional Chinese medicine, and both have the same efficacy. Maitong is sweet, slightly bitter, slightly cold in nature, and belongs to the heart, lung and stomach meridians. Maitong can nourish yin and promote the production of fluids, moisten the lungs and clear the heart, and can be used for the treatment of dry lungs and coughs, coughs with deficiency of yin and consumption, paralysis of the larynx (redness, swelling and pain in the pharynx, or dryness, a feeling of a foreign body, or itchy discomfort in the pharynx and difficulty in swallowing), sore throat, thirst with injury to the fluids, thirst with internal heat (fever accompanied by symptoms such as overeating, excessive drinking, excessive urination, etc.), heartburn and insomnia, and constipation with dryness of the intestines, among other conditions. The attribution and efficacy of Maitong is the same as that of Maitong. The adverse effects and contraindications of Maitong are not yet clear. If you are experiencing discomfort, it is recommended that you consult a doctor to prescribe the right medication for your condition.
