Interventional approach is effective in treating chocolate cysts

A chocolate cyst is a hemorrhagic cyst containing old brown viscous blood, which is chocolate in color, and is formed gradually after the ectopic endometrial tissue flows backwards into the pelvis along the fallopian tube and is planted on the ovary. The cyst increases in size month by month and the tension inside the cyst increases, because the cyst wall is formed by the surrounding fibrous tissue wrapping, which is brittle and inelastic, and the cyst wall varies in thickness, the thinnest part is like window paper. When the cyst is larger than 5-6 cm and the intracapsular tension is obviously increased, it is easy to rupture from the thinner part and the cystic fluid flows to other places for planting, and new chocolate cysts can be formed. The traditional treatment method is mainly surgery, but because the cyst wall of chocolate cyst is closely adhered to the surrounding tissues, it is difficult to remove the cyst completely during surgery, and most of them will cause the cyst to rupture during the removal process, resulting in recurrence. The chocolate cyst fluid has an affinity with the ovary and is most likely to form a new cyst on the opposite ovary after flowing into the abdominal cavity. If reoperation is performed, it will be more difficult and the recurrence rate will be higher, affecting future fertility. At present, interventional approach is a minimally invasive treatment method for cysts under the guidance of medical imaging, which is expected to become a treatment means to replace surgery. Its advantages: 1, no incision, safe and painless. 2, no hospitalization, treatment time is only about 10 minutes, does not affect work and work. 3.The ovaries are not damaged and the ovarian function and normal ovulation are not affected. 4.The sclerosing drug injected in the chocolate cyst can be withdrawn after 10 minutes of retention, without drug irritation and drug spillage. 5.Guided puncture is accurate, avoiding blood vessels and intestines, and monitoring the whole process of treatment in real time. The interventional treatment process is safe and non-invasive. 6.The above treatment effect can also be achieved for cysts that recur after surgery. It is the best method to treat coeliac at present. The chance of pregnancy is significantly increased after coeliac disease is cured, because the interventional treatment method only involves fine needle puncture, which has no effect on fertility.
