Do chocolate cysts affect pregnancy?

Chocolate cysts are a special type of cysts that form in the ovaries in the form of chocolate, and they account for about 17%-44% of endometriosis, and if they are not operated on, they can make it difficult to get pregnant. First of all, endometriosis is the cause of most of the infertility in 1/3 of the cases, and it is true that it is not easy to conceive normally with chocolate cysts, and even after pregnancy, there is a risk of miscarriage, because the disease can cause damage to the distribution of blood vessels in the ovaries, and can also reduce the ovarian response to gonadotropins, leading to a rapid decrease in egg quality and interference with egg fertilization. This can interfere with the fertilization of the eggs. Secondly, although chocolate cysts have become a factor of infertility, there are still people who can get pregnant, but the chances are low. In order to protect women’s reproductive health, current medical science does not recommend surgical treatment before childbirth and recommends conservative treatment with medication. Chocolate cysts can affect fertility, but surgery for chocolate cysts is not generally recommended before fertility, but if the patient’s chocolate cysts have exceeded the conventional standards, they must be closely stereotyped and tested to avoid infertility, and the patient must receive timely treatment.
