What are the acupuncture points that should not be bled

Bloodletting therapy is also known as the three-pronged needle method, as long as the arteries are avoided, any acupuncture point can be bloodlet. Attention needs to be paid to hemangioma sites, unexplained lump sites are prohibited from stabbing and are not suitable for bloodletting.
This method mainly uses three-pronged needles to puncture the blood channels or acupoints, release the appropriate amount of blood, or squeeze out a small amount of liquid, or pick off the subcutaneous fibrous tissues, to achieve the purpose of treating the disease. It can be categorized into 4 kinds: puncture method, scattered puncture method, piercing method and picking method.
1. Point-prick method: the method of releasing a small amount of blood or squeezing out a small amount of body fluid by quickly pricking the acupoints. It is clinically applied to Xuan Shi and 12 Jing points at the ends of fingers and toes, as well as Lei Zhu and Sun points on the head and face for the treatment of stroke, headache and other diseases.
2. Scattered Prick Method: A method of puncturing around the lesion, used to treat localized stasis, hematoma or stubborn ringworm.
3. Prick method: it refers to the method of needling superficial blood channels or veins to release appropriate amount of blood, which is applicable to the treatment of acute vomiting and diarrhea, heat stroke, fever and other diseases.
4. Picking method refers to the method of using three-pronged needles to cut off the subcutaneous fibrous tissue of acupuncture points to treat diseases, clinically used in the treatment of cervical spondylosis, frozen shoulder, insomnia, vascular-neurological headache and so on.
Bloodletting is a medical operation technique and must be performed in the acupuncture department of a regular hospital. Do not operate on your own or in a non-medical institution to avoid adverse reactions and aggravation of the condition.
