What is the use of CT enhancement of the adrenal glands

Enhanced CT of the adrenal glands allows for a further assessment of the nature of the disease in terms of imaging. Adrenal enhancement CT examination is mainly used as a further examination when a relatively small adrenal gland is found to be occupied on plain CT examination, but it is not yet possible to make an initial judgment on the nature of the disease from the image. Adrenal enhancement CT examination is mainly for adrenal tumors. Most of the adrenal tumors are benign, but in the early stage of the tumor or when the tumor size is relatively small, it may be difficult to determine the specific location or nature of the tumor by purely plain CT, and thus adrenal enhancement CT is needed to have a clearer judgment on the location of the lesion. In general, adrenal enhancement CT will be clearer and more accurate in determining the nature of the lesion.
