It can be used to treat diarrhea, prolapse of anus, yin ting (prolapse of uterus or even out of the vaginal opening in women) caused by weakness of the spleen and stomach and sinking of the middle qi, with symptoms such as tiredness and fatigue, low food intake and abdominal distension, loose stool (thin and unformed stool) and prolonged diarrhea, anal descent or prolapse of the anus, uterine prolapse and other conditions.
The adverse reactions and contraindications of this drug are not clear, but it is not suitable for those who suffer from coldness (fear of cold) and fever, or those who suffer from overeating and epigastric (abdominal) distension and fullness. Caution should be exercised in patients with high blood pressure. It is not advisable to take this medicine together with Veratrum.
