What is electrophysiology

Electrophysiological examination is a cardiology test that is performed on patients who are in a more stable condition and who are able to lie down to examine the cardiac conduction system. It is mainly performed in patients with undefined diagnosis of cardiac conduction abnormalities and who cannot be detected by other examination means, which can be further clarified by electrophysiological examination. In addition, patients with a clear diagnosis can also be further examined by electrophysiological examination. Electrophysiological examination can clearly diagnose paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, and cardiac atrioventricular block, etc. This examination is relatively safe, and patients can generally move appropriately in bed 2 hours after surgery.
