PLA2R antibody is mainly used to detect membranous nephropathy, which is an in situ antigen in the basement membrane layer of the glomerulus, and the significance of this antibody often represents primary membranous nephropathy. The most important significance is that for patients who cannot have kidney puncture or do not have the condition to have kidney puncture, such as those with poor medical environment or poor health condition, by checking serum PLA2R, if the antibody is positive, except secondary kidney disease, membrane nephropathy can be diagnosed. In terms of treatment, it is not necessary to develop a treatment plan through renal puncture, but can be directly treated with drugs for membranous nephropathy. The treatment plan is mainly the application of hormones combined with immunosuppressive therapy, and the level of this antibody reflects the severity of nephropathy. Often, after the antibody turns negative, membranous nephropathy indicates a good prognosis and can return to normal. If the antibodies rise during the review process, it often indicates that membranous nephropathy is about to recur.
