Is Artemisia capillaris the same as Artemisia capillaris?

Artemisia capillaris is not Artemisia vulgaris. Artemisia capillaris is the above-ground part of Artemisia pigmentosa or Artemisia capillaris in the genus Artemisia of the family Asteraceae. It is slightly bitter, slightly pungent, slightly cold in nature, with the effect of clearing heat and removing dampness (removing heat and dampness from the body), and relieving jaundice. It is used for treating jaundice, dysuria (irregular urination), and itching of wet sores. Yin Chen is the dried above-ground part of the plant Artemisia binctoria or Artemisia japonica of the family of Asteraceae. The spring harvest is called “Mian Yin Chen”, and the fall harvest is called “Flower Yin Chen”. It is bitter, pungent and slightly cold in nature, with the effect of clearing dampness and heat, and relieving jaundice by inducing bile. It can be used for treating jaundice with low urine output, dampness-warmth (warmth caused by feeling dampness-heat), summer dampness, and itching of wet sores. The use of drugs need to be under the guidance of a doctor’s diagnosis, not self-medication, so as not to delay the condition.
