There are many causes that can cause chest tightness and shortness of breath, such as cardiac neurosis, dysregulation of vegetative nerve function, heart failure, respiratory failure, pneumonia, and pulmonary occupancy. If you want to further clarify what the cause is, it is recommended that patients can have a preliminary screening of lung CT, ECG, cardiac ultrasound, and BNP to help further clarify the diagnosis. If the patient currently has lower limb edema or worsening of chest tightness and shortness of breath after lying down in addition to chest tightness and shortness of breath, it is highly considered to be caused by heart failure, and it is suggested that the patient can combine diuresis and vasodilation to improve the symptoms. If the patient exhales deeply when the chest tightness and shortness of breath feel relieved instead, and is currently in the menopause stage, it is highly considered to be caused by endocrine disorder and imbalance.
