Do you need localized radiotherapy for cervical cancer?

Whether cervical cancer needs localized radiotherapy or not needs to be analyzed comprehensively with the patient’s physical condition and clinical stage. 1. If the patient belongs to the early stage of cervical cancer and there is no indication for radiotherapy, positioning radiotherapy can be avoided. 2. If the tumor lesions are limited to the cervix or invade the upper 2/3 of the vagina with no obvious infiltration of the uterine parietal, and the cancer foci are >4cm, surgical treatment and postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy are needed. 3. If the tumor has obvious paracervical infiltration, or the tumor has extended to the pelvic wall and/or involved the lower 1/3 of the vagina and/or caused pyelonephrosis, etc., radical radiotherapy or radiochemotherapy is needed. Localized radiotherapy for cervical cancer needs to formulate individualized treatment plan according to clinical staging, etc. It is recommended to go to regular hospitals for standardized treatment according to doctor’s prescription.
