What are the telltale signs of renal edema

Nephrotic edema may present with edema of eyelids, face and both lower limbs, and may also present with oliguria, hypertension, and with the aggravation of edema, it may also present with obvious symptoms such as chest tightness, shortness of breath and dyspnea. Nephrotic edema is mainly divided into nephropathic edema and nephritic edema. Nephropathic edema has low tissue interstitial protein content, and edema mostly starts from the lower limbs; while nephritic edema has high tissue interstitial protein content, and edema mostly starts from the eyelids and face. With the aggravation of edema, patients may have oliguria, hypertension, etc. In severe cases, it may lead to cardiac failure, with symptoms such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, and respiratory distress.
