Contraindications to bathing infants in honeysuckle water are not known. Due to the delicate skin of infants, it is not recommended to use honeysuckle water to bathe infants privately.
Honeysuckle, sweet taste, cold nature; attributed to the lung, heart, stomach meridian. It has the efficacy of clearing away heat and detoxification, and evacuating wind-heat. Mainly used in the treatment of carbuncle (by the qi and blood trapped by the evil poison and congestion, resulting in local swelling symptoms) boils (hair on the face and hands and feet of the surgical disorders), external wind-heat, the first signs of warm disease, fever and blood dysentery (feel the heat caused by the dysentery, blood in the stools).
However, the efficacy of bathing with honeysuckle water is limited and generally does not achieve a therapeutic effect.
